Sky-Born Snow…

November 21, 2013

So I sigh and ask myself:
“Why stand we here, idle?”
Being like horse or mule
Needing bit and bridle.

But sky-born snow
Comes slowly down,
God-wrought, to glory,
Glittering ground,
Without complaint,
Without a sound

Of resistance,
In this wayfaring wind.
Ethereal
Obedience,
Whence good
God doth send

In His own time,
Chosen-
Frost,
Falling,
Frozen,

Looking rather like happy,
Sparkling bits of chance,
Fatefully floating in this,
His
Determined
Dance.

“…Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow?”

-Job 38:22
